Accounts Assistant

As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll support the finance team with tasks such as processing invoices, reconciling accounts, managing accounts payables, data entry, and filing. You’ll also assist in preparing financial reports, ensuring accuracy and efficiency under the guidance of a Senior Accounts Executive. Roles & Responsibilities
- Data Entry
Record financial transactions into accounting software for purchases, payments and loans.
- Invoice Processing
Download, verify and process invoices from vendors, including matching purchase orders / purchase requisitions to ensure accuracy.
- Accounts Payable
Process vendor payments, reconciling statements and maintaining supplier records.
- Bank Reconciliation
Match bank statements to accounting records to ensure accuracy.
- Filing and Record Keeping
Maintain organised financial records, including invoices, receipts, and supporting documents.
- General Administrative Tasks
Answer finance-related inquiries, handle correspondences, maintain and update bank users, provide support to the accounting team and attend to visitors and incoming calls.
- Other adhoc finance functions and projects as assigned.

- Attention to Details – High level of accuracy when handling financial data.
- Numerical Skills – Strong ability to work with numbers and perform calculations.
- Computer Proficiency – Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP and Oracle Netsuites) and Microsoft Excel.
- Communication Skills – Ability to interact with colleagues and vendors regarding financial matters.
- Ability to interact with colleagues regarding financial matters.
- Organisational Skills – Efficiently managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Basic Accounting Knowledge – Understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
Requirements
- Diploma in Accountancy, LCCI qualification, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounts assistant/support functions.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of SAP B1 and Oracle Netsuites is an advantage.
