Accounts Executive
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Executive to support financial accounting, manage customer accounts, and oversee accounts receivable. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Senior Accountant and assist with accounts payable functions. Roles & Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare partial financial statements schedules (e.g., trial balances, balance sheets, profit or loss statement) relating to accrued revenue, deferred revenue, revenue not recognised, accruals, prepayments, etc.
- Prepare monthly financial reports (e.g., AP and AR Aging report, review cashbook and cash statements).
- Compile business documentation for offset AR/AP for common customers and vendors.
- Prepare intercompany balances reconciliation.
- Prepare GST Output Tax schedule for checking and reconciliation.
- Sales and Customer Management (Supervised by Senior Accountant)
- Record financial transactions into accounting software for sales, receipts, fixed deposits, dividends, etc.
- Sales processing. Prepare sales invoice, verify sales details to sales agreement, including matching sales order to ensure accuracy.
- Follow-up on projects progress and match cost to revenue for monthly closing.
- Work closely with Senior Accountant to manage new revenue stream related to cloud security to ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenues.
- Manage accounts receivable. Follow-up on sales receipts, reconcile statements and maintain customer records and credit controls.
- Filing and record keeping. Maintain organised financial records, including invoices, receipts, and supporting documents.
- Customer Management
- Build and maintain relationships with customers.
- Serve as a point of contact for customers.
- Address customers’ concerns with sales representatives.
- Other duties
- Assist to provide supporting documents to tax agent and auditor.
- General administrative tasks. Answer finance-related inquiries provide support to the accounting team and attend to visitors and incoming calls.
- Adhoc duties
- Participate in systems testing during system migration (from SAP B1 to Oracle Netsuites).
- Other adhoc finance functions and projects as assigned.
Desirable Skills/ Qualities
- Attention to details – High level of accuracy when handling financial data.
- Numerical skills – Strong ability to work with numbers and perform calculations.edures.
- Computer proficiency – Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP and Oracle Netsuites) and Microsoft Excel.
- Communication skills – Strong communicator and have good customer service skills.
- Ability to interact with colleagues regarding financial matters.
- Organisational skills – Efficiently managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Good accounting knowledge – Understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounts executive/ support functions.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of SAP B1 and Oracle Netsuites is an advantage.
